Step back to 1867 and explore Alton’s darker history on an immersive after-dark walking tour. Actors from the Theatre of Dark Encounters bring legends of ghosts, smugglers and conspiracies to life as you visit haunting spots such as St Lawrence Church, Flood Meadows, The Crown Hotel and the Swan Hotel. Expect a mix of history, humour and spine-tingling moments as the cast interact with the group, offering a unique perspective on the town when night falls.

Further Information
The tour begins inside the Town Square and will involve a walk around the Town Centre. Once outside, there is very little cover so please wear precautions against the weather.
The tour will last approximately 1 - 1.5 hours and involves interaction with actors and group participation - the tour offers a unique perspective to the town after dark.
Suitable for 12 years and up when accompanied by an adult.

❌ Toilets are not available during the tour.
